garantido nenhum direito adquirido quanto à existência digna no mundo.
A
A Gestalt
austeridade.

Title: The rigid temporal regime
Abstract: We live in difficult times. After
all death announcements around our literature and its authors, after god’s
death announcement, after all ends, of the art, of the politics, even of
history, it would last, maybe, before earth dust, the resignation of the last
wills to think about the human we had been, sometimes even in great manners.
But would it truly be the end of times what we should expect for?
Since the austerity placed itself in the West, in various human
coexisting levels, one lives without a community project. We administrate and
we are administrated by the efficiency rationality process, diminished as
conditions of means to promote efficiency main goals. This is as social scheme
of the subtraction so called austerity which one becomes hegemonic on the
double fundament that, in the facts’ orders, the world is not enough for all
and that, in the values’ orders, we should not take for granted any accomplished
right when it comes to the dignifying existence in the world.
The path through the 20th century to the 21st
century was a passage from the assured premise of an economic growth to a
premise of uncertain economic subsistence. And this has not been a transparent
passage. It is assumed in a way too abruptly, and in essence, to introduce in
the austerity regime the most certain citizens subjectivities nullity is to
diminish the subjects exercise of their own time. What has been the expected
projected sustainable future turned into an excessive conscious of the
insustainability of the past. In this game the responsibilities postponed in
the past and the ones that were made up, within the future threaten to become passed without
having happened in our present, interfere in what are going to be the choices
in the present and promotes a crossover on what would be the timing of the
eventual and the possible. The Gestalt
has become another and the signs of things started to be read by a new
principle: the one of the subtraction. This contexts forms then the Zeitgeist of the austerity lives pushed
towards a mechanic flow which standardize the necessity. We condemn ourselves
to the austerity necessity of the heteronomy.
But a system of choices that is not able to be placed in the present, it
is a system of choices all distorted. The lack of sources presented as a due
fact overloads the citizen conscious within guilty demands and punishment
measures. Whoever decides politically, makes choices facing, mainly, the past
responsibility, not assuming the compromise to open himself to the present
dealing completely with the choices been made. The distortion could not be more
clear: people are still choosing, but as if there were not choices, as if they
were inevitability determined by passed life styles, and these in fact would
have been the only choices, in fact bad choices at that time, so to be
punished. And, predictably, there are some elected ones to be penalized in
honor of all: past governs become beasts; but also the whole past community
which lived at that time, they are all put into failure condition for having
lived beyond the choosing possibilities. At the end what it has been installed in
the social regime of the subtraction is the fear of having the will to make
choices.
Living in a Democracy also can suggest the austerity, living beyond or
above the possibilities. The choosing exercise, that the democratic cycles
should afford, is put under suspicion of levity, especially if it is a choosing
exercise on making the choice for new choices. Choosing is in somehow a way of
living beyond and above the possibilities, it is mainly to refuse the subtraction
of imagining and being guided by them. In the other hand, what the austerity
relies upon democracy is the possibility to become a less democratic arena for
the emergence of the new, it must rely on the means of efficiency, becoming focused
on processing the necessity and the utilitarian scheme. The democrats that
choose a lot but do not decide too much, are replaced by the techno democratic
ones, that usually decide upon a lot of themes but do exercise poorly their
capacity of choosing. Naturally the so called Euro democracy is a sign of this techno
democracy instance and its austerity as a subtraction - without the possible and available time, one
does not live anymore, but only survives. Last but not least we must find out
which will be the resistance time that will become a clear opposition to the
austerity regime.

Title: THE TIME OF DISOBEDIENCE. FOR A
POLITICAL THEORY OF DESTITUENT POWER
Abstract: Modern political thought has usually considered radical change mainly in terms of a“constituent power”, ie. as the activation of a creative energy that ex nihilo brings about a (new) institutional order within which human relationships are disciplined and organized (constituted power). Together with this, however, there has arisen another (minority) way of thinking of radical change as a process of a continual, tendentially endless removal of the legal, political, social and cultural obstacles which on every occasion oppose the full deployment of that very same political energy. We call this alternative way "destituent power". Both ways of thinking are expressions of a force, of a power (and desire) to be something new and different from what already exists. What differs is the temporality of radical change: in the former case, this power is the answer to an “absence”, to a manque à etre, which the subject has to fill by means of political struggle and the conquest of rights, freedom and better living conditions that must unavoidably be set within an institutional framework if they are to be guaranteed. In the second case, on the contrary, that power is the immanent movement of a surplus, of an “essential superabundance” that does not need to be conquered, since it already exists, even if in the form of a potentiality, but liberated from the institutional chains that restricts its full expression.

expansão do mercado.

Title: DISSOLVED TEMPORALITIES: TECHNOLOGICAL EXPANSION AND
THE CONSUMPTION OF TIME IN LATE MODERNITY
Abstract: The globalized development of technology nurtured,
over the centuries, the hope that the man would be released from toil, through
the automation of labor, with consequent expansion of free time. This would be
the condition for the development of individual potential, the conquest of
human emancipation and happiness at last. Currently we live in a time where
technology, under the effects of computing and robotics, reached exponential
levels of growth, producing a compression of space and time, which enables the
automation of the work and the performance of human tasks simultaneously and
without borders. In
contemporary world is current the idea that free time will predominate over working
time, becoming the central category in current subjective and social
configuration of individuals. It is considered in this paper, that this argument of a
supposed centrality of free time points out mainly to the
"facilities" received by the exponential development of new computer
technology, for the "goodies" offered by the vertiginous increase of
consumption and for the “multiple offers” of leisure, offered by culture
industry - privileged cultural devices ordering the boundaries between work
time and free time. Thus, this study reflects, from Frankfurt School
theorists, about the new ways of intersection between "free time" and
"working time", investigating in particular the role of information
and communication technologies in the intense acceleration of contemporary
individuals life’s rhythm, whose cult of speed makes the time one of the rarer consumer
goods. Considering that the facilities received by technological resources
should give subsidies to reduce labor work, we put in question the paradox
between the increase of innovation and technological acceleration and the lack
of time pointed out by contemporary individuals, with consequent acceleration
in rhythms of life in all areas. Under the auspices of the three referred
instances, have contemporary society became more libertarian, plural and
democratic? What is the meaning of current advocacy of free time? Would, finally, came true
the ideals of labor automation and human liberalization? Our hypothesis is that
the current emphasis of the so-called free time over work time, while a strong
social time, occurs only because it became a production time, aiming a market
expansion. Therefore, considering in particular new technologies as one of the
predominant cultural devices in the occupation of current "free time"
we try to reflect on the psychosocial implications of the invasion of
productivist logic within the "free time" and its repercussions on the
process of emancipation/domination of contemporary individuals.

Título: A FLEXIBILIDADE E O REPARTO DO
TRABALHO: QUESTÕES FUNDAMENTAIS NA COMPREENSÃO DAS MUDANÇAS DA TEMPORALIDADE
LABORAL
As
a centralidade do trabalho nessa configuração.
social do tempo pós-industrial.
Flexibilidade
Nicholas Grimaldi (1992).

Title: Flexibility and labor sharing: understanding
the changes of labor Temporality
Abstract: Until
the mid-1970s we lived under a model of social organization anchored in the Fordist
parameter of production, stable and
hegemonic. After the 1980's new conceptions of temporality are introduced and
expanded, which was different from those defined by Schor (1994) as
"vicious circle of labor-consumption."
The changes in the
production structure can be indicated as the main responsible for the introduction
of a new social organization of time, reiterating the centrality of work in
this configuration. On the other hand the actions of coping with high
unemployment, centered mainly on policies of labor sharing also had an impact
on the emergent social order of post-industrial time. Flexibility and labor sharing are
therefore phenomena that have fundamental impact on the characterization of the
current labor market enabling the emergence of a new arrangement of the
relationship between time, work and social order. From the analysis of this
relationship we propose to understand the changes that are evident on the
premise of time as a corollary of the work as proclaims Nicholas Grimaldi
(1992).

Título: A HISTÓRIA E A TEMPORALIDADE NA
européias e a fenomenologia transcendental” (1934-1937).

Title: History and Temporality in Edmund
Husserl’s phenomenology
Abstract: The paper especially aims to
claim the extraordinary value of Edmund Husserl’s (1859-1938) philosophical-phenomenological
thoughts about the issue of time and history in the constitution of
subjectivity. In order to this, we aim, at first, to explain the importance of
temporal experience (temporality) in Transcendental Phenomenology and its role
in the constitution of conscience. Then, show how the conscience’s experience
of time is in the foundation of human history because, as will be seen at
Husserl’s thought, the world, the temporality and the subjectivity are
described as primarily historical. For a long time, Husserl’s phenomenology was,
and often still is, criticized as an a-historical, a-temporal and anti-historical
philosophy, founded specifically in the provisional statement that it refers
only "to the things themselves", in other words, a return to the essences.
As the philosophers Ludwig Landgrebe (1968), Javier San Martín (1994), Jesus M.
Diaz Alvarez (2003) and Renato Cristin (2000) say, these criticisms are
mistaken for a serious reason: the misinterpretation of Phenomenology as
Wesenslehre, in other words, as a doctrine of the essences. Of course this
interpretation is based in the misunderstanding of the meaning of
"essence" assumed in Phenomenology, which led to a distortion of the
analysis made about its historical consideration. Therefore, in general, we can
say that the analysis of subjectivity was one of the basic projects of
Husserl’s phenomenology and because of this was inevitable the discovery of its
temporal and historical character. Still, in the phenomenological analysis of
subjectivity, as highlighted by Ludwig Landgrebe, historicity will show itself
as historicity of the conscience, in other words, a temporal flow of
intentional acts. Such genetic analysis of the temporality and historicity of
the conscience was the starting point that led Husserl effectively to the understanding
of the constitution of concrete history, as discussed more specifically in the
writings collected in the book "The Crisis of European Sciences and
Transcendental Phenomenology" (1934-1937 ). These are some of the
evidences that show not to be true the statements that defends that Husserl has
only thematized history in his later writings, but rather, current publications
(manuscripts and unpublished) shows that Husserl remained preoccupied with the issue
of time and history from his earliest phenomenological writings.

JORRAR DO TEMPO - CONSIDERAÇÕES INTEMPESTIVAS SOBRE FOUCAULT NO BRASIL
Resumo: Tendo por base a investigação “Michel
Foucault no Brasil: presença, efeitos e ressonâncias”, o trabalho recorre a
A História Oral, praticada

in Brazil
Abstract: Based on
the investigation “Michel Foucault no
Brasil: presença, efeitos e ressonâncias”, this work calls upon the
memories of those who stayed with the philosopher during his visits to Brazil,
in the 60s and 70s. By doing so she aims to bring to stage different ways
temporality and subjectivation in a moment – the contemporary – on which these optional
trials become more and more necessary, in view of current policies for life
control. The Oral History, practiced in a unique way, inspired on the Italian
oralist Alessandro Portelli, plays a fundamental role in this resisting or
anti-conductual, to use the same words used by Michel Foucault.

Título: TEU TEMPO TE MOSTRAREI EM UM PUNHADO DE PÓ: IMAGEM, UTOPIA E PROPAGANDA

Title:
YOUR TIME I´LL SHOW YOU IN A HANDFUL OF DUST: IMAGE, UTOPIA AND MARKETING
Abstract: We
live times of urgency, consumption and waste. The seduction of imagery is not
restricted to advertising. However, there
is an advertising that captures us in such a violent manner that sometimes we
fail even to perceive its presence. To approach the theme of marketing is each
time more essential since we cannot think about it without dealing with the
circuits of power that we constitute and that in turn constitute us. But what
power are we talking about? Power of the image, as far as we try to capture the
eye of others in precise spots, so as to consolidate the meaning in an
arbitrary way and leaving everything that could generate a crisis of
interpretation and reading in the shadows. The object is supposed to reveal
itself in a univocal way, and this detail is enough to make us perceive the
tyranny of this position. I will develop these ideas both after the approaches
of Noam Chomsky about the functioning of the propaganda machine in the
political sphere and the critical approach that the study of utopias allows us.
More than ever we have to recover an utopia for history.

As

Title: PARADOXES
OF WORKING RELATIONS AND MANAGEMENT ON THE CONTEMPORARY TIMES AND ITS SUFFERING
FORMS ABLE TO CONDUCT TO THE VOLUNTEER DEATH.
Abstract:
The bad feelings around the working experience has won global
proportions. Despite each countries’ specification, or even each companies’
particularities, the stress, the psycho disturbs related within to the working
conditions, the physical and emotional worn out process, the harassment and all
the suicides have become problems faced by the workers, collaborators and
bosses through Europe, Asia and Americas. A problem related to the
intensification of work, to the unreachable established goals, to the monetary
priorities in short term, to the deregulation and creation of new forms of
working hiring, related to a destructive management of the collective, all of
this isolate the workers into a mentality of pure technique and management
means, which one is in fact distant from the real working process, and at least
related to a system of paradox rigid orders systems that contribute within the
lost feeling shared by the workers in relations to their sense of work and
future.
To comprehend this pointed
problem, we consider the existence of a paradox situation in between the work reality
and the management logic, capable to conduct the subjects to a “no way out”
situation, potentially promoter of suicide crisis. We have as a hypothesis that
this paradox situation is able to create a dilemma in between the personalized
subject construction process (the self building process), and the socializing
human process (the social tissue building process), and it would be full filled
with a not conciliating antagonism between the needs of the self satisfaction
according to the ideology model and dominant values, and the need of
integration to the social organizational logic. The relations between work and
management are full of dehumanizing contradictions: the subject movement
towards being part of the social organizational tissue implies on the loss of
the subject’s self, and in the other hand, the movement towards the
construction of the self implies on the loss of a place in the social
organizational tissue. A dilemma, then, in between “personalization” and
socializing that become antagonist and mutually excluding among themselves and
this dilemma is capable of conducting the subject to a suicide crisis.

Título: GESTÃO CONTEMPORÂNEA DO MORRER

CONTEMPORARY MANAGEMENT OF DYING
Abstract: From the
mid-twentieth century, with the creation of several technological resources,
especially with the advent of artificial respirator, the criteria of death
changed, like the process of dying as a result of chronic degenerative disease.
More and more is possible delaying the moment of death. At the same time, there
is the construction of new possibilities and new sensibilities,
concerning the suffering of the sick, in the case of artificial maintenance of
life, as well as in the case of the end of life by assisted suicide and / or
euthanasia. My speech will focus on formulations about person, individual,
autonomy, life / death and suffering in every situation and in different contexts,
which have different laws about the process of dying. Therefore, I examine some
famous cases that caused controversy and public reactions around the management
of dying. The differential allocation of value for life, death and individual
autonomy can be observed in each case analyzed, as well as the building
connections between medicine, law, morals and feelings in each context.

naturalmente dinâmica quanto a estas transformações, a modernidade é conduzida
por um incessante processo de aceleração social. Desde o século XVIII as três
limitadora nesta modernidade tardia.

Title: TERRORISTS AND HIGH-SPEED SURFERS: TOWARDS A SOCIOLOGICAL CONCEPTION OF
PERFORMATIVE IDENTITY
Abstract: The temporal patterns of our individual life – its rhythms and speeds,
horizons and durations – are closely interwoven with the temporal patterns,
rhythms and speeds of society. Time is intrinsically social – whether it is the
time of our lives or the time of the social fabric. Therefore, changes in the
temporal patterns of society are inevitably mirrored in the temporality of the
life-course and of individual identities.
In this contribution I aim to explore the transformative effects of social
evolution from pre- or early modern to late modern societies on the temporality
of the life-course and on the temporal patterns of identity. The main claim I
seek to establish is that the‘classical’ form of modern identity, i.e. the
conception of a stable personal identity, is tied up with a generational pace
of social change. However, due to the effects of social acceleration, the rates
of change and social innovation have crossed the threshold to an
intra-generational pace of change. Because of the resulting instability in the
patterns of association and the culturally relevant forms of knowledge and
practice, the patterns of identity and the temporalities of the life-course are
forced to adapt. As a consequence, the modern conception of stable personal
identities, based on the idea of a set of individualized parameters of identity such as profession, religion, family, political outlook etc., is no longer feasible in the 21stcentury –it is about to be replaced by new forms
of ‘performative identity’.
In order to lend some empirical credibility to this claim, I will first
sketch out the ways in which identities are constituted by time, or by temporal
perspectives. In the second part, I will proceed to systematically reconstruct
the ways in which the temporal patterns of modern society change. My main claim
here is that modernity is inherently dynamic in that it is driven by an incessant process of social acceleration. From the 18thcentury onward, the three dimensions of technological acceleration, of an acceleration
of social change and of a speed-up in the pace of life, interlink in a way that
progressively transforms the temporal patterns of society. In this process, I
will argue, two critical thresholds are crossed when the pace of change
exceeds: first, the pace of inter-generational exchange and, second, the pace
of generational exchange. The biographical effects of these critical crossings
will be explored in the third part of this paper before I finally sketch out
the four types, or patterns, of biographical identity which appear to be
compatible with late-modern social temporality. Each of these types appears to
be deeply problematic, such that it is hard to avoid the diagnosis of an
impingent temporal crisis in late-modernity.

Título: ACELERAÇÃO DO TEMPO E MODERNIDADE
bem definida no Ocidente.
sujeito humano. Qual o significado potencial dessa refundação dos Tempos
para outros campos da cultura, na atualidade?

Title: TIME ACCELERATION AND MODERNITY
Abstract: We believe, when
founded in our common sense, that we know the essential predicates of Time:
irresistible flux that transports the beings of the world from the past to the
future, univocal gliding basis in which the Real abides, infinite line of
instants. There is, no doubt, an Image of Time that is well-defined in the
West. Nevertheless, for the contemporary Sciences of Nature, this Image,
however functional for our daily lives, is not “objective”, since it doesn´t
correspond to any fundamental attribute of natural reality. Several other
Images of Temporality are conceived and used by the contemporary Sciences,
implying profound transformations both for the knowledge of the natural world
and, in parallel, for the statute of the human subject. What is the potential
meaning of this re-foundation of Time for other fields of culture, nowadays?
